Message from Principal

Prior to becoming Principal of Blyth Academy Whitby, Kim Hacker was Guidance Counsellor and teacher at the Academy, gaining experience with Blyth’s philosophy of education. She has developed a great love for experiential education through working with Blyth’s local education partners, and she comes with a wide breadth of experience with the independent and private school sector, including boarding schools. With a background in English and Humanities, combined with her love of helping students excel, Kim Hacker is able to help her students foster a love of learning in a variety of subject areas. She is very passionate about Blyth Academy Whitby and all it has to offer the Whitby community.

🙌🙌 Here are some great photos of our Summer Community Service program volunteering at Barrio Planta Project in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua. Take a look!

A group of 21 students and staff from Blyth Academy visited BPP and participated in our Cultural Exchange Program.

This group of volunteers and students, made a real connection, all while learning about each other's culture and background in a fun and educational settings. From ice breaker games, soccer, scavenger hunt and art exchange students from both BPP and Blyth had a day of fun and new friendships.
