Community Service Programs
Earn Community Involvement hours towards your high school diploma, Duke of Edinburgh Medal or International Baccalaureate Program.
At Blyth, we believe that a global perspective and international collaboration are central to assisting our students to become valuable world citizens. Our International Community Service programs offer students the opportunity to become engaged in communities abroad, volunteering their time to work on meaningful locally driven initiatives, allowing them to learn first-hand about the world around them while developing their leadership and team-building capabilities, and having fun too! Our community service work is carried out in collaboration with locally based NGOs, and our agenda is driven by these local organizations. We ask our partners how and where we can be useful so that the work we do is relevant and meaningful to the communities in which we are based.
YOUR TYPICAL DAY
Community Service Programs are an invigorating mix of rewarding community service activities and organized recreation, allowing you to develop your leadership skills and have fun too. Community Service activities generally take place the majority of the week for alternating full days or half-days with local excursions organized for when the students are not volunteering. Each student will receive a letter detailing the community involvement hours and activities that can be added to their secondary school diploma. If you have any questions regarding these programs, please email email@example.com.
