Message from Principal

Welcome to Blyth Academy@CIHA, located on a large beautiful campus, with state-of-the-art sporting facilities along the banks of the Ottawa River. If you are not already familiar with us, I invite you to come visit and see, firsthand, the amazing opportunities we have to offer.
Blyth Academy@CIHA provides day and boarding students from grades 8-12 with an outstanding educational environment. Our flexibility in scheduling and course delivery allows all our students to pursue their specialized interests and training schedules.

As Principal of Blyth Academy@CIHA, I am personally committed to ensuring our students build a strong foundation in their academic and life skills, before embarking on post-secondary education and beyond. Together, with my remarkable faculty, we maintain close and consistent communication with students, families, and coaches to ensure a comprehensive approach to overall student success and as part of our individualized approach, we always make ourselves available for consultation and guidance.

Blyth Academy Programs Attended: Cozumel July, Global High School
Favorite part about Global High School: Global High School has brought many outstanding experiences and infinite amounts of excitement. However, if I had to identify one specific feature of Global High School it would be the outstanding teachers and nurturing peers. Everyone is very comforting and everyone likes each other for who they are. It’s a very welcoming environment.

What are you looking forward to the most? Although I am ¾ of the way through my adventure, I am thrilled for Thailand. I hear the religion there is outstanding, and it’s a great way to wrap up Asia as a whole. I will also be doing the scuba diving excursion, which should be very exciting.

What was your favorite part of the program? Without a doubt my favorite part of the program would have to be the amazing, life-long friends that I have made. They are some of the coolest people I have ever met and I continue to talk to them on a daily basis. My friend Nick and I are even planning on being roommates throughout university!

What is your number one vacation destination? Ever since I was young, my parents would take my sister and I to Mexico. However, ever since my International Summers program, Cozumel has never slipped my mind. That program really opened my eyes to what adventure feels like, which ultimately lead me to GHS. My friends and I plan to go back to Cozumel this summer, because of the amazing time that we experienced.

When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up? As a kid I was very intrigued in trains. My parents even took me to the train tracks every Saturday to watch them. I even made a train out of chairs in my living room and I would sit there for hours, imagining I was a conductor.
