What Makes Our Campus Unique?

We are a relationship-based community of teachers and learners; we are supportive of one-another and welcoming to all. Our students in grades 9 through 12 know each other and work together to make our school the best that it can be. Our students are connected to the school not only through academics but also through extra-curricular activities and school events, and they drive what happens in our school. In turn, we support and nurture their passions, both academic and personal. Ultimately, everyone in our school strives to be happy, healthy and successful in their pursuits. The communities around our school – Swansea, Bloor West Village, Etobicoke, Toronto – play an integral part in shaping our school community. Whether we’re having a photography class on the banks of the Humber River, a phys ed class at High Park, or visiting a local business for our Entrepreneurship program, we are connected to our community through experiential learning.

Message From Our Principal

Our school is located on Bloor West at South Kingsway and is a new, light-filled space where our students are engaged in both academics and extra-curricular pursuits. Nestled between Bloor West Village and The Humber River, we have access to a multitude of unique resources and opportunities within our neighbourhood and throughout Toronto. We really benefit from our location — within minutes, we can be in a green space partaking in outdoor education experiences or at a world-renowned gallery or museum.

With an average class size of eight, we offer a school where our teaching faculty and our administrative team members know each child. Students learn and grow academically and personally when engaged in our dynamic programming with a focus on experiential learning. We encourage our students to be critical and creative thinkers, as well as active participants in their own education and school community.

What our Families are Saying…

“Blyth Academy has allowed my son to finally find his place in the education system. I love that the class sizes are very small and the classrooms are more about connecting with one another. The students sit around a meeting style table and work together. This allows for a very intimate learning experience with teachers who are clearly motivated and can actually teach rather than simply manage a large class of 20+ students. The curriculum is more “hands-on” which is the best way to learn in my mind. But most importantly is the principal, support staff and teachers are more connected to the students and can really engage with the students on a level that is more personal, motivating, respectful and enjoyable.”

“Blyth Academy is something different. It’s more of a family than it is a school. It’s a place for students like me to thrive, have fun and learn all at the same time. Even though this is my first year at Blyth Academy, I feel like I’ve been here for much longer. The faculty members treat me like family, rather than just some ordinary kid. The teachers care about the students and help them to reach their maximum potential. The students are all so close – it feels like we have known each other for forever when we really started this journey just months ago. I truly believe that Blyth Academy is one of the best private schools in Canada, and if you’re looking to thrive and enjoy your studies, Blyth Academy is the school for you.”

“Only at Blyth Academy was I welcomed with open arms and accepted for who I was, and in the following years had the most memorable times of my life so far. Blyth not only provided me with the best education but also gave me life-changing experiences and confidence in myself.”
