Blyth Academy Yorkville

Message from our Principal

Adam de PencierOur proximity to Yonge and Bloor provides us one of the most exciting and diverse student bodies in the city, and at Blyth teenagers make friendships and solve problems of knowledge in a spirit of curiosity and co-operation. We also aim to keep a close eye on wellness and are always able and willing to listen to students, and their families. Along with the unmatched on-line and international outreach of Blyth Education, we offer several extra-curriculars including student council, prom committee, yoga, Model UN, and Art. If we don’t have a club that a student wants, we’ll make one.

Our Student Rep of the week, Alexander K went on quite the adventure in Iceland with us this summer! Learn more about him! πŸ™Œ
Hometown: Ottawa
Current Grade: 12
Blyth Academy Program(s) attended: Grade 11 Bio – Iceland
What was your favourite part of the program? My favorite part of the program was traveling and learning with all the extraordinary people on the program. I went to Iceland by myself so I especially liked how one day nobody knows each other and the next you feel like you've known them forever.
Where is your #1 vacation destination? I have to say Asia is the next place I’d like to visit. I find the culture interesting but I'm hoping to experience it on the Blyth Academy Bhutan program.
If you could be an animal, what would you be? I think I’d want to be a bird of some sort? I've always thought it would be cool to fly around and look down to and see how small everything was.
