On April 1st, Sam Blyth hosted a dinner in Paro, Bhutan for what may have been the largest gathering of Canadians ever in the Himalayan Kingdom. Dr. David Suzuki spoke about Gross National Happiness and what Canada could learn from a country that puts the quality of life first. We were honoured by the presence of Her Majesty The Queen Mother who chairs both the Royal Academy of Textiles and Renew Bhutan. The directors of both of these institutions spoke about their work in Bhutan.
Mr. Blyth is Chair of the Bhutan Canada Foundation and Honorary Consul General for the Kingdom of Bhutan in Canada.
