Our Second Week as a Virtual School
As we enter our second week as a virtual school I am sure we are all beginning to feel a little more comfortable with our new way of learning! I ask that our students continue to be on time for their daily classes and complete their work each day. I hope that you all have been enjoying the sports components that we have integrated into our weekly schedule! We will continue to post skills videos from our athletic instructors for our students to practice their sport-specific skills at home, have guest speakers run sessions via Zoom, have our coaches run game film review sessions, and have a daily fitness workout posted each day! We encourage all of our students and parents to take part in these!
We have created a few more initiatives to keep our virtual learning environment exciting and engaging including:
We will be posting activities/videos each Wednesday morning in the Fitness Training Edsby group for you to help with mindfulness and well-being.
To further engage our school community we will be posting a weekly challenge in the Weekly Challenge Edsby group! Students, parents and staff are encouraged to complete the challenge and post a video/picture in the Edsby group to motivate one another and have some fun!
Student of the Week
Each week our staff will be recognizing one student as our Student of the Week! Staff will look at academic, athletic, and student life participation. In order to be considered for Student of the Week, you will be required to complete the Weekly Challenge!
Blyth Downsview Social Media Pages
As our school is now fully virtual, we thought it would be a good time to create Blyth Downsview Instagram and Facebook pages to post about what is going on in our school! Please visit the links below to Follow/Like our posts!

As we continue to live in a different world, we encourage you to go out of your way each day to make a difference in someone’s life! Whether that be calling a friend or family member to check in on them, sending a nice text message to someone, or helping out around the house, I am sure it will all make a difference!
