Global High School Student Earns International Recognition

Blyth Academy global high school student Daniel Chan, is once again gaining international recognition for his photography projects.

Daniel who was recently the recipient of the 2018 Best Photography Award from the 17th annual Calcutta International Cult Film Festival, has now won an additional 5 rewards for some of his other work completed on the Global High School program.

His photography project, Black and White, has won Best Photography Award in the 9th monthly season of the Cult Critic Movie Awards 2018.

His project, City Lights, has won and Outstanding Achievement award in the 9th monthly season of the Cult Critic Movie Awards 2018, and Outstanding Achievement Award in the 18th season of the Calcutta International Cult Film Festival 2018, and an Honourable Mentions Award in the 9th monthly season of the Virgin Spring CineFest 2018.

His project, Behind the Forest, has won a Silver Photography Award in the 9th monthly season of the Virgin Spring CineFest 2018.

Meanwhile, Daniel’s other project, Old Man, which was completed during Term Four of our Global High School Program in Central and South America, has been selected as a finalist in the Los Angeles CineFest and is entering the final round contest during the second half of 2018.

Because of Daniel’s exceptional achievements and track record, he has also been invited to serve as a member of the judging team for the June 2018 monthly season of the Los Angeles CineFest.

Another one of Daniel’s projects, For Right and Justice, which he took in Nicaragua on Term Four of Global High School during the protests, has been selected as a finalist for the Lionshead Film Festival in Texas.
